Fall Favorites: Must-Try Flavored Coffees for Autumn
September in Tallahassee might not look like the fall time of other, more northern cities—but we can celebrate like anyone else. One of our favorite ways to celebrate the new season at Lucky Goat Coffee is switching out our morning cup of coffee for something a little more warming and festive. While it’s always an option to have your Lucky Goat barista serve up your favorite seasonal espresso drink, we also love brewing classic flavors in our coffee pots at home. Our flavored coffees are not only delicious but also sugar-free and allergen-free, making them perfect for everyone to enjoy. Here are our fall favorites to try:
Pumpkin Spice
The most festive flavored coffee to start brewing as October draws near is Pumpkin Spice. Our take on this cult classic includes notes of pumpkin, caramel, and cinnamon. This Lucky Goat favorite combines essential spices with classic fall flavors, for something reminiscent of the comforting warmth of a freshly baked pumpkin pie. Perfect for cozy autumn mornings, our Pumpkin Spice coffee is a must-try!
Southern Pecan
For a festive flavor that isn’t quite as overtly seasonal as Pumpkin Spice, we love brewing a pot of our signature Southern Pecan coffee. While it’s available year-round and has been an offering of ours for almost a decade, this nutty and sweet flavor brings a sense of nostalgia for cooler mornings and the holiday season ahead. This fan-favorite flavored coffee is excellent for anyone wanting a taste of fall any time of year.
Caramel Pecan
When autumn rolls around, pumpkin pie often takes the number one spot for dessert favorites. However, as we get closer to November and the Thanksgiving holiday, we start craving pecan pie here at Lucky Goat. Our Caramel Pecan coffee offers the ideal blend of nutty flavors and caramelized sugar, reminiscent of the filling found in a classic pecan pie. This delightful brew is sure to be a hit at any upcoming holiday gatherings!
How to Brew Your Fall Favorite at Home
We love the simplicity of a drip coffee pot for brewing our flavored coffees. While you might not have as much control over the temperature of the water and the way the coffee is extracted, you can still do quite a bit to make sure your coffee is delicious. Use a ratio of about 1:16 for your brew: for every 1 part coffee, you should have 16 parts of water. This is a great starting recipe for figuring out how much coffee to add based on the number of cups of coffee you want to brew. The most accurate way to measure this is by weight (usually in grams), but you can start with 2 tablespoons of coffee per 6-8 oz of water and adjust the amount of coffee based on desired strength. Another essential way to increase the quality of your at- home brew is by using filtered water. As coffee is 98% water, it’s such an important part of the overall taste of your home brew. By following these simple tips, you can enjoy a great cup of coffee every time, bringing out the best in your favorite blends!
Incorporating these brewing tricks and exploring Lucky Goat’s fall-flavored favorites will elevate your coffee experience throughout this holiday season.
