South Adams Café Leader

Leo Rogers-Hernandez

Originally from Dallas, Texas, Leo moved to Orlando with their family in 2010 before heading to Tallahassee in 2020 to start a new chapter with their fiancé. Inspired by their parents, who both worked in coffee and cherished its sense of community, Leo’s love for coffee began early, with fond memories of visiting cafés with their dad.

Leo joined the coffee world in 2015 and eventually became a shift supervisor at Starbucks. After experiencing burnout, they decided to make the leap to a local coffee shop—a long-time dream—and joined Lucky Goat! Now, as Café Lead at our South Adams location, Leo focuses on crafting drinks, connecting with customers, and and ensuring everything runs smoothly behind the scenes.

Outside of work, Leo enjoys reading, birding, thrifting, and attending coffee competitions. Known for their speed and efficiency behind the bar, they’ve earned the nickname “Speedy Gonzales” from a coworker. Their current go-to coffee has been an iced brown sugar caramel cappuccino with oat milk!

When I'm not at work, I'm...

Probably at a park photosynthesizing.

Coffee Confession:

There's no one way to do coffee! Whether your focus is craft, specialty, or customization, there's room for everyone and everything.
