Shaylea Trivett-Sevier

Shaylea, or Shay, joined the Lucky Goat family in 2023, drawn by our strong community reputation and commitment to quality. Before discovering her passion for coffee here, she honed her skills as a server at Rock n' Roll Sushi. As our Lead Brewer, Shay is dedicated to ensuring the consistent quality of our cold brew, overseeing safety compliance and inventory management to keep operations running smoothly. Through her role, she has gained insight into the intricacies of coffee-making and the care that goes into each cup.

Originally from North Lauderdale, Florida, and Chesapeake Beach, Maryland, Shay eventually made her way to Tallahassee. Her love for coffee began in childhood, when her great-grandfather would brew her a cup of black coffee to enjoy while they fed birds and watched the sunrise over the mountains. These cherished moments sparked her lifelong appreciation for coffee, and she still prefers it black. When she’s not at work, you might find her playing with her turtles, relaxing on the porch with her cat, reading, gardening, or crocheting.
