Situated in the lush Chirripó micro-region of Costa Rica’s Brunca area, Finca La Naciente sits at 1,700 meters above sea level in a landscape defined by cool mountain air, fertile volcanic soil, and rich biodiversity. These high-altitude conditions, paired with sustainable farming practices, create an environment perfectly suited for producing exceptional specialty coffee. Shade-grown trees help enrich the soil, fertilizers are used sparingly, and all local water sources are carefully protected.

This coffee is made up entirely of Catuai selections for honey processing. This technique conserves water while enhancing sweetness and body. The result is a delicate yet layered cup with notes of white peach and caramelized sugar, highlighting the clean, bright flavors that make coffees from Chirripó so distinctive.

Finca La Naciente is part of Café Rivense, a family-run farm and micro-mill founded by Régulo Ureña and Isabel Rojas and now operated with the help of their children. The family is known for their hands-on approach and dedication to both quality and sustainability. Every step, from growing to processing, happens right on the farm, allowing them to carefully monitor each batch and deliver coffee that reflects the unique character of the Chirripó region.
