Panama Gesha
This exclusive, award-winning offering will be sold as an online-only presale and will be shipped the first week of December.
As we sprint toward the holiday season here at Lucky Goat, we’ve been thinking of ways to bring an exceptional coffee to Tallahassee. After weeks of searching with our importers, we found a Gesha sourced from Panama, and it is exquisite.
If you aren't familiar with a Gesha, it is an incredibly rare and expensive varietal of coffee that is highly sought after by roasters, baristas, and specialty coffee nerds alike. The variety is thought to originally come from Ethiopia, like other varieties, but ended up in Panama where it became popularized. Its beans often win an exceptional number of awards and are incredibly expensive due to their rarity, quality, and demand. Most notably, our Panama Gesha recently earned a Bronze Golden Bean Award in the elite coffee category. With a delicate flavor profile that is clean, refreshing, fruity, and floral, it consistently provides a once-in-a-lifetime coffee experience.
This coffee, from the Lérida Estate, is no different. Finca Lérida is a historic farm for Panamanian coffee production located in the Boquete Region. This farm made the first coffee export in Panama’s history and continues to push the envelope on coffee quality, specifically in the creation of award-winning Geshas. The Lérida Estate grows coffees between 1600 and 2050 masl and consists of hectares dedicated to preserving national forestland.
Panama Gesha will be sold exclusively online in a pre-sale format, running from November 22nd-29th. It will be roasted and shipped during the first week of December to arrive on time for holiday gifts. To maintain freshness on this high-quality lot, Panama Gesha will only be offered as whole bean coffee.
