As temperatures rise and summer approaches, Lucky Goat is celebrating a milestone for one of the season’s favorite coffee companions: our Nitro Cold Brew.
Back in 2023, Lucky Goat elevated the in-café cold brew experience with the introduction of nitro infusion. Since then, Nitro Cold Brew has become a customer favorite, delivering a smooth, refreshing coffee experience unlike traditional iced coffee.
While nitro beverages have existed in the food and beverage world for decades (`notably with Guinness Draught beginning in the late 1950s), nitro technology didn’t make its way into coffee until the 2010s. Today, it has transformed the way coffee lovers enjoy Cold Brew.
At every Lucky Goat café, we use food-grade nitrogen as both the pressure source for our kegerator system and the ingredient responsible for creating Nitro’s signature texture. The nitrogen infuses tiny, uniform bubbles into the cold brew, creating a creamy consistency and eye-catching visual effect.
As Nitro Cold Brew is poured, you’ll notice the coffee appears lighter in color before slowly settling. The tiny bubbles rise through the cup, creating the beautiful cascading effect that Nitro fans know and love. Topped with its signature foamy head, the drink offers an experience that is just as enjoyable to watch as it is to drink.
